I am Fully Persuaded

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Today I want to encourage you to put your total confidence in the one who never fails. Confidence is defined as the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something. Confidence also means to have “firm trust”. Now that’s powerful!

In Genesis 12: 1-4 we find Abraham who is known as the Father of many nations because of his “firm trust” in God.

God told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you.

I’ll make you a great nation and bless you. I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing. I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.”

So Abram left just as God said, and Lot left with him…

Now I’m not going to go deep into the fact that Lot, Abraham’s nephew, tagged along but I will say this…ladies, stop allowing people on your journey that don’t belong. I’ll save the rest of this word for another day (haha)!

Abraham heard the voice of God that told him to go into a foreign land. He didn’t have any idea where he was going or how long he would have to travel. He had to totally rely on the voice and instructions of God. It was because of Abraham’s firm trust in God that he obeyed, went and was blessed.

In Genesis 22 we find Abraham again. This time he was being commanded by God to take his only son, Isaac, to a mountain to be offered as a burnt offering. Just like before, Abraham obeyed. When Abraham saw the mountain that God revealed to him, he took Isaac to the mountain top, built an altar, bound his son and laid him on the altar and prepared to slay him with a knife. Before he could slay Isaac, the angel of the Lord stopped him and Abraham saw that a ram had been supplied for the offering.

Because of his obedience and total trust in God, Abraham received repeated promises from God and will forever be mentioned in Christendom as the Father of our faith and the Father of many nations. Abraham was fully persuaded to follow God!

Today I encourage you to ask God to give you the kind of confidence that allows you to leave all that you know without instructions. Pray today that God will grant you the type of trust needed that if He requires you to offer up the closest thing to your heart, you will do so confidently knowing that God is able to provide a ram in the bush or resurrect a thing if it dies. Today, ask God to make you a fully persuaded, firmly trusting woman of God. I know that He will!

Loving You and Pushing You Into Greater,

Shindy
